Many here prefer the Red Line synthetics, but Mr 325 is correct. However make sure it is a GL-4 75w90 gear oil. Do not use a GL-5 oil in the transmission. While we're at it, the differential takes a 75w90 GL-5 gear oil. Many prefer the Red Line 75w90. The 75w90NS can only be used in a non-LSD unit.

First, this does not apply to the 260 trans, only 265s. Like Tom says, there are 2 changes. First, there is a drive gear on the trans output shaft that is replaced by a spacer bushing on the M3 trans. I beat the piss out of it. And it broke on the low rpm shifts (Most the the abuse was at the drag strip with slicks).
